The most important element of comfortable cycling shorts is the padding. Shimano has therefore put in a lot of research to develop an ideal padding line-up for our shorts that suits every cyclist and offers maximum comfort under all circumstances.

Accu-3D padding

Specially for Accu-3D Shimano developed a padding which offers a natural fit for each rider in practically all circumstances. This padding consists of two separate layers; the internal layer which has five air vent holes for excellent ventilation and the upper layer which is made of a fabric that keeps you dry. Because both layers are not bonded together, the end result is a highly comfortable, stretchable and well ventilating padding.

Touring padding

The perforated Bora material is a guarantee for perfect hygiene, offering maximum comfort to the rider. The padding is antibacterial and hypoallergenic to prevent rash. This comfortable and ultra soft padding has a high transpiration ratio and is very resistant to frequent washing.
